Below is an update on Teaching and Learning (TnL) activities until the end of the year 2020 involving the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) community, based on the current situation of COVID-19 pandemic crisis, and on the latest advisory from the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE).
In preparing UTM community for all scenarios and eventualities, including the likelihood of a prolonged movement control order (MCO), followed by continued prohibition of mass movement and activities until the end of 2020, UTM hereby requests that its community to be prepared for the following POSSIBILITIES:
- Remote and online TnL is likely to continue until the end of the year 2020.
- No face to face TnL activities until the end of the year 2020, except limited to certain courses that have been pre-planned and received special permission from UTM and MoHE.
- Semester 1 registration to be conducted fully online.
The aforementioned matters shall depend on the latest development on the COVID-19 pandemic, the government’s decision on MCO, it’s advisory on mass activities and movement, and the announcement and decision of MoHE that will be updated from time to time by UTM.
