International Biotechnology Competition & Exhibition

International Biotechnology Competition and Exhibition (IBCEx) is an annual event organized by students of Bioprocess Engineering Society (BIOSS) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. International Biotechnology Competition and Exhibition 2024 (IBCEx’24) gives the theme “Revolutionizing Tomorrow: A Decade of Breakthroughs and Beyond”. There are two competitions in this program, including the Innovation Project Competition and, the Poster Competition. The Innovation Project Competition and forum will be carried out physically at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, while the poster competition will be carried out virtually through social media. 

All categories of innovation are open for participants such as Waste Treatment,  Biotechnology and Green Technology, to green the world to achieve a sustainable future. IBCEx’24 provides a platform for innovators to compete and showcase their creative and innovative ideas. Young innovators from high school up to higher learning institutions in Malaysia and various international institutions from overseas are welcome to join us. Besides, forums throughout this program involve academicians or engineers from various industries who are biotechnology and green technology experts to share their knowledge and experience related to our theme. Moreover, this year, a mini career fair will be held during the event day too! Those who are interested, from all levels and fields are encouraged to participate, as it will benefit you a lot, by gaining some eye-opened experiences.
