UTM Campus

 

UTM has 3 campuses – the UTM JOHOR BAHRU campus is in Skudai, Johor Bahru and was the first university in the state of Johor. It has an area of 1,222 hectares, located about 18 kilometers from the Sultan Ismail Airport of Johor Bahru, Malaysia. It is about 20 km north of the state capital, Johor Bahru.

The UTM KUALA LUMPUR campus is situated in Jalan Sultan Yahya Petra within Kuala Lumpur, with an area of 38 hectares. The branch campus accommodates diploma students, part-time students (also known as the SPACE program), undergraduate students (Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology) and foreign students taking business courses.

The new UTM PAGOH campus located in Pagoh was officially opened on 2nd May 2017. Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Innovation Centre in Agritechnology for Advanced Bioprocessing (UTM-ICA) is strategically located off the Pagoh interchange on the North-South expressway, in the district of Muar, Johor. A 50-hectare campus equipped with shared facilities integrated with Bandar University Pagoh.

 

UTM JOHOR BAHRU campus

The main Campus in Skudai is ideally located almost centrally between the city of Johor Bahru and the Sultan Ismail Airport of Johor Bahru. Regular flights are available from our capital Kuala Lumpur. You can also get connecting flights from Sultan Ismail Airport to Kuching, Miri and Kota Kinabalu in East Malaysia.

Airport taxis are readily availabe at the airport for any location to and around the city or to the industrial outskirts of Johor Bahru. City cabs plies to all areas of the city and it’s outskirts.

It takes between 3 1/2 to 4 hours to drive down from Kuala Lumpur to Johor Bahru.

Stage and express buses plies the length of out North-South Highway, which runs all the way from the southern tip of Peninsular Malaysia (Johor Bahru) right up the border town of Bukit Kayu Hitam (border to Thailand). Connections are available to almost all major towns and urban centres around the country.

Malaysian Railways also travers the same north-south location with Kuala Lumpur Railway Station being the route exchange hub. Scenic travel to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, for example, is best done by this 18 hour train ride from Kuala Lumpur.

 

 UTM KUALA LUMPUR campus

UTM KL which is located at the center of Kuala Lumpur city used to be the head campus of UTM on Lot 4582 Jalan Sultan Yahya Petra (formerly known by Jalan Semarak). 

KL visitors usually arrived at KL Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). KLIA is situated in the Sepang district, approximately 50km from Kuala Lumpur.

Upon arrival at the airport, you may continue your journey to KL City Center / UTM Kuala Lumpur via ERL (Express Rail Link) to KL Sentral Station or easily by taking a Taxi / Grab.
